Course Description:

Addressing issues related to body image in the treatment of eating disorders. Teaching clients to look at what represents us outside of our physical bodies and how to manage expectations regarding improvements in body image. Looking at how the various aspects in the process of recovery are not parallel and how to tolerate discomfort and distress related to body image.


Learning Objectives:

  3.   Identify 4 stages of body acceptance

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a background in many different clinical settings. I have always had a passion for working with eating disorders due to my own personal experience and the miraculous transformation that happens when someone chooses recovery and life. I am the clinical director for Monte Nido's Eating Disorder Center of Newport Beach, as well as the Senior Director of West Coast Clinical Programming for Monte Nido & Affiliates.
