I received a Doctorate and Certification in Psychoanalysis from the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute in 2009. I completed my master's degree in Counseling from California State University Fullerton and am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT #36528). I am certified by the International Board of Group Psychotherapists. I also have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology.
As a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist, I specialize in working with patients interested in long term, in-depth treatment of a variety of issues including trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship struggles. Throughout my career in private practice I have had extensive experience working with teens and adults of all ages.
I also specialize in working with Therapists and Physicians in individual and group settings. I am passionate about providing a space to those who give so much in their work, to explore their inner worlds and attend to their own healing and rejuvenation.
As a Sport Psychology Specialist have a special interest in working with athletes wanting to improve performance and strengthen their mental game. I also specialize in treating athletes suffering from mental health challenges (i.e. depression, anxiety, anger management, eating disorders etc.), along with processing the effects of injury and possible forced retirement.
