By the end of this program, participants will be able to examine a variety of holistic approaches to mental health that will complement current therapeutic modalities, analyze the contribution these approaches are to client-centered care, and discuss when to consider exploring the need for pharmacological interventions.

• Discuss examples on how to prepare and set a client up for success before their first meeting about medication management.
• Assess the importance of integrating holistic approaches to mental health as a first line treatment in conjunction with therapeutic modalities.
• Develop various holistic approaches to implement in current and future clinical work.

Presenter's Bio: 

Dr. James Morgan is a doctorally prepared, dual board-certified Adult-Geriatric Acute Care (AGACNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). He brings ideals from both the medical and nursing models of care. He is the owner of Anchored Psychiatric Nursing Services in Orange County, California. Starting his career as an EMT and working his way up to his current practice, Dr. Morgan has become a well-respected healthcare provider, author, and educator. He prides himself on caring for his clients as a whole person instead of just a diagnosis.
