"A Jungian Approach to Working with the Unconscious"

Dr. Cavalli will explore many ways that the unconscious appears in psychotherapy. Beyond transference and resistance we will explore areas that Jung illuminated in his many years of research. Drawing from his thirty years of clinical practice, Thom will outline a cartography of the unconscious and specific ways of working with dreams, active imagination and psychological typology. He will also include some material from his first book, Alchemical Psychology, that sheds light on psychoid states and the individuation process.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Thom F. Cavalli, Ph.D. is a practicing psychologist in Santa Ana CA. In thirty years of practice he has authored two books on Jungian topics, lectured at universities, analytic institutes and learning centers, consulted to major corporations and appeared on radio and television. He served on the Board of OCPA and held the position of vice-chairman of the Board of CPHP, a private insurance corporation. He held multiple licenses including LMFT and QME. Additionally, he was Program Director and Director of Psychology for CPC Santa Ana Hospital.
