It's time for the OC-CAMFT Annual Meeting.  Come and see what we've been up to and meet your 2017 Board of Directors!!

Jill Epstein, JD, Executive Director of CAMFT, will also join us that day.  She will update us on all CAMFT happenings from the year 2016, and what's in store for 2017.  Come and get you information directly from the CAMFT source!! 

Course Description:

Jill Epstein will present an update on the current status of state and federal legislation affecting LMFTs based on her regular visits to Sacramento and Washington, DC. Ms. Epstein will also address regulatory issues from the BBS. Ms. Epstein will update the attendees about CAMFT initiatives, including a summary of the recent demographic study of CAMFT members. The meeting will conclude with Q+A.

  1. Learn about pending legislation and how marriage and family therapists may be impacted by the bills
  2. Gain insight into CAMFT's strategic priorities
  3. Connect with the Executive Director of CAMFT

  • Course meets the qualifications for 1 hour of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Orange County Chapter of CAMFT is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (Provider #59405) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs.  Orange County Chapter of CAMFT maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Jill Epstein became the Chief Executive Officer of CAMFT in May, 2011.  Ms. Epstein is an attorney and has over 20 years of experience working with non-profit and advocacy organizations in Sacramento, Chicago, and Washington, DC. Prior to joining CAMFT, Ms. Epstein was the Chief Operating Officer of the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC), an organization created by the California Legislature to develop and implement statewide voluntary certification for massage therapists. While living in Chicago, Ms. Epstein served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Society of Chicago, the country’s oldest financial analysts’ society and the world’s 6th largest financial analysts’ society.    She also worked as Chief Operating Officer of Physicians for Responsible Negotiation (PRN), a physicians-only labor organization created by the American Medical Association.  In Washington, DC, Ms. Epstein worked for the American Medical Association, the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, and AARP. Ms. Epstein received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor (Go Blue!).  She received her Juris Doctorate from the American University – Washington College of Law in Washington, DC.   She and her family relocated to San Diego in 2010…happy to escape the brutal Chicago winters.
