This presentation will empower participants in the pre-licensed supervision process. 

Learning objectives include:

  • Safeguarding the sanctity of your development as a therapist
  • What supervision is and what supervision is not
  • Parameters of appropriate clinical supervision
  • Identifying harmful supervision
  • Dealing with a supervisor's countertransference
  • BBS/CAMFT initiatives to improve supervision quality
  • BBS/CAMFT initiatives in support of the pre-licensed community
  • Experiential learning application via vignettes


OC CAMFT’s 3000 Club is a gathering of pre-licensed MFT/LPCC/LCSWs (students, trainees and interns) for networking, information & camaraderie!

Presenter Bio:

Carla Rather is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in private practice in Irvine and Torrance. She serves on the OC CAMFT Board of Directors and is Chair of statewide CAMFT's Pre-Licensed Committee where she advocates on behalf of the Pre-Licensed community. Carla holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University.
